The pressure of cultural homogeneity coupled with the American value of radical individualism leaves little room the development of persons who reflect the beauty, diversity and distinctive unity of the Triune God. Yet, that is challenge of Christianity in this postmodern milieu.
A community of disciples, Spring of Light Christian Fellowship is committed to submitting our lives to the formative power of God's spoken Word as revealed in Jesus Christ. By encouraging one another in the Word and Spirit, we seek to bring our thoughts, our actions and ultimately our hearts in harmony with Jesus Christ.
We value the living body of church tradition as well as the freshness of contemporary Christian renewal movements. At the same time, we remain aware of the danger of developing an insular faith that fails to engage and confront the current culture. So, we always seek to balance the inner spiritual life of the body with the call to proclaim the good news to the culture at large.
We believe that the gospel is still relevant to the needs of our world; and we affirm that the gospel is still "good news."
Located in Blount County, Tennessee, Spring of Light is dedicated to building up community by helping Christians realize their divine calling to experience and make known the love of God as revealed in the Trinity. This includes both teaching and acting on the command to love God and one another.
